Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using WhatBiz you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. WhatBiz is operated by Degordons Tech Enterprises, Abuja, Nigeria.

2. Description of Service

WhatBiz is a business platform that includes a messaging automation service and a Storefront service. The messaging automation enables businesses to automate customer interactions across WhatsApp Business, Instagram Direct Messages, and Facebook Messenger, including automated reply systems, order collection, payment link generation, broadcast messaging, and comment keyword triggers. The Storefront service provides each business with a public-facing online store at whatbizapp.com/store/{slug} where their customers can browse products, place orders, and pay directly. Both services are managed from the same business dashboard.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. One account per business. You may not share your account with others or use the service to impersonate another person or business.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use WhatBiz only for lawful business purposes. You may not use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages, to harass, threaten, or deceive customers, to sell illegal goods or services, to violate Meta Platform Terms for WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook, or to circumvent any security measures. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

5. Meta Platform Compliance

By connecting your WhatsApp Business number, Instagram account, or Facebook Page to WhatBiz, you agree to comply with Meta Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business Policy. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the connected channels complies with Meta policies. WhatBiz is not responsible for account restrictions imposed by Meta for policy violations.

6. TikTok Platform Compliance

By connecting your TikTok account to WhatBiz, you agree to comply with the TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok Developer Policies, in addition to these terms. You are responsible for ensuring your use of TikTok through WhatBiz complies with TikTok policies. WhatBiz accesses TikTok data only through the official TikTok Business API and is not responsible for account restrictions imposed by TikTok for policy violations. You may disconnect your TikTok account at any time from your WhatBiz settings.

6b. Storefront and Customer Orders

When you use the WhatBiz Storefront, your customers place orders and make payments directly through your public store page. You are responsible for fulfilling all orders placed through your storefront, for the accuracy of product listings, pricing, and availability, and for communicating delivery timelines to your customers. WhatBiz facilitates payments through Paystack or bank transfer on your behalf but is not a party to the transaction between you and your customers. You are responsible for handling customer disputes, refunds, and complaints arising from storefront orders. WhatBiz is not liable for losses arising from failed deliveries, incorrect orders, or customer dissatisfaction. Customer personal data collected during storefront checkout (name, phone number, email address, delivery address) is subject to our Privacy Policy.

6c. Payment Processing

All customer payments for orders are processed through WhatBiz’s managed payment account with Paystack and are automatically split so that the price of the goods settles to the business’s designated bank account, and WhatBiz’s charges (its platform fee and, where WhatBiz arranges delivery, the delivery fee and any address-verification cost) settle to WhatBiz. The business authorises this arrangement and is responsible for providing accurate bank settlement details. Paystack applies its own processing fees, which are set by Paystack and published at paystack.com/pricing. The business determines in its Settings whether the business or the customer bears the Paystack fee. WhatBiz is not a bank, does not extend credit, and does not hold customer funds beyond the time required to route each payment.

6d. Sale of Goods; Seller Responsibility

WhatBiz is a technology platform that enables businesses to receive orders, collect payments, and arrange delivery. WhatBiz is not the seller, manufacturer, importer, or distributor of any goods sold by a business through the platform, and is not a party to the contract of sale between a business and its customer. The business is solely responsible for the description, quality, safety, legality, packaging, and accuracy of the goods it sells, and for fulfilling each order as described.

6e. Returns, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Any complaint that goods are damaged, defective, or not as ordered is a matter between the business and its customer. A customer wishing to make such a complaint must notify the business within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery and provide clear photographs or video showing the item and its packaging. The business is responsible for deciding and providing any remedy, whether refund, replacement, or exchange, in accordance with the return policy the business publishes to its customers. WhatBiz does not assess, guarantee, or adjudicate the condition or accuracy of goods. Paystack processing fees are not refundable.

6f. Delivery and Carrier Damage

Where a business uses WhatBiz-arranged delivery, shipments are carried by independent third-party couriers connected through Shipbubble. Those couriers are responsible for the physical carriage of goods and maintain their own insurance as required by law. Where goods are lost or damaged in transit, the claim is handled under the relevant courier’s carrier-liability terms and any compensation is limited to what those terms provide. WhatBiz’s role is limited to facilitating the claim; WhatBiz is not liable for loss or damage caused by a courier. Delivery fees are not refundable once a courier has been dispatched.

6g. Chargebacks, Refunds and Reversals

Where a customer initiates a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute in respect of an order, the business is fully and solely liable for the disputed amount and any associated fees. The business authorises WhatBiz to recover any amount debited from WhatBiz’s account as a result of such a dispute, including by deduction from the business’s current or future settlements, by direct reimbursement, or by lawful debt-recovery proceedings. Upon request, the business shall promptly provide, within the timeframe WhatBiz specifies, all evidence reasonably required to contest a dispute. Where WhatBiz processes a refund to a customer on the business’s behalf, the corresponding amount is likewise recoverable from the business.

6h. Indemnity

The business shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WhatBiz and Degordons Tech Enterprises, and their officers and employees, against all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, refunds, chargebacks, fines, penalties, and costs (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with the business’s goods, sales, conduct, or breach of these Terms.

6i. Suspension and Investigation

WhatBiz may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend or terminate a business’s access, withhold any payouts within its control pending investigation, or require additional verification, where it reasonably suspects fraud, money laundering, a pattern of customer disputes or chargebacks, poor delivery conduct, sale of prohibited goods, or any breach of these Terms. Customers may be asked to rate a business and its delivery after an order; these ratings are used to monitor conduct on the platform.

7. Payment and Billing

WhatBiz Free is free forever within the stated message limits. Paid plans (Pro and Unlimited) are billed monthly in Nigerian Naira. Payments are processed via Paystack. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. No refunds are provided for partial months. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

8. Message Limits

9. Data Ownership

You own all data you input into WhatBiz including your products, customers, and order records. WhatBiz does not claim ownership of your business data. You grant WhatBiz a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We will not access, use, or share your data except as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for losses caused by service downtime, API rate limits imposed by Meta or Paystack, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Limitation of Liability

WhatBiz is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Degordons Tech Enterprises shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue, lost orders, or customer dissatisfaction resulting from automated responses.

12. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination we delete your business settings, products, messages, and connected channel data within 30 days. Order and payment records are anonymized rather than deleted and retained for 7 years as required by Nigerian financial recordkeeping law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or dashboard announcement. Continued use of WhatBiz after changes constitutes acceptance.
